Privacy notice
What we do with personal data on this website, and what you can ask of us.
Who is responsible
The controller of the personal data described here is Solaas Tech S.R.L., a company registered in Romania, sole registration code (CUI) 54888013, trade register number J2026038411001, with its registered office at Str. What this site collects
This is a reading site. It has no accounts and no user area, and it does not build a profile of you.
- If you write to us by email, we hold your message and your address so that we can answer and keep track of the conversation.
- Technical records. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, which include the IP address of the request, the time, the page requested and the browser identification. These exist so the site can be operated and defended against abuse.
- Your cookie choice, stored on your own device, so that we do not ask you again.
We do not use advertising trackers on this site, we do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Why, and on what legal basis
- To answer your message and to discuss a possible partnership. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and, where a partnership is being prepared, steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To operate and secure the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a site that works and is not abused.
- To respect your cookie choice. Legal basis: your consent, and our legal obligation to record it.
Attention signals inside the Cube
The project described on this site is built around measuring how people look at works of art inside private viewing rooms. None of that happens here. This website does not measure attention and does not read behaviour.
When the Cube itself exists, that measurement will be described in its own notice, it will be asked for in plain language before a room opens, it will be granular and withdrawable, and signals leaving a partner organisation will be aggregated. We state it here so there is no confusion between the project and this site.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf, under contract, in order to run the site. Our email provider processes the messages you send us. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
We keep hosting and storage within the European Union. If that ever changes, we will say so here and we will use a transfer mechanism recognised under the GDPR.
How long we keep it
- Email correspondence: for as long as the exchange is live, and then for up to three years, so we can pick the conversation back up and answer questions about it.
- Server logs: a short operational period, normally not more than twelve months.
- Cookie choice: until it expires or you clear it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, for processing to be restricted, and for a copy in a portable form. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what was done before.
Write to stoiana00@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP, at dataprotection.ro, or to the authority where you live.
